Monster Playground

Created as my final project in Major Studio in my first year at Parsons The New School for Design, Monster Playground is an openFrameworks applications that creates a simulated playground populated by user created monsters. Participants are invited to draw monsters in crayon which are then digitized, given personality attributes and introduced to the playground. These attributes are used to determine their actions, which can be friendly or hostile.

Each monster also has an opinion of each other monster that changes as they interact to allow friendships and animosities to form.
